Dead battery? We test it and swap it where you're parked.
A weak battery is the most common no-start we see in Riverside heat. We load-test it on the spot, check that your alternator is charging, and install a new one if it's needed.

Sounds like this?
Signs it's time to call
- Rapid clicking when you turn the key
- Dash lights dim or flicker while cranking
- Engine cranks slowly, then catches
- You needed a jump start in the last month
- Battery case looks swollen or the terminals are crusted
- Battery is three or more summers old
What we measure
12.6 V- Resting voltage of a fully charged battery
12.4 V- About 75% charged. It may still start, but it's slipping
< 12.0 V- Discharged. Needs a charge and a load test
13.5–14.8 V- Normal reading with the engine running. Tells us the alternator is doing its job
The visit
What happens when we arrive
- Test resting voltage and run a load test on the battery
- Check the charging system so a new battery doesn't die again
- Clean or replace corroded terminals and check cable ends
- Install the correct group-size battery and reset what your car needs reset
- Show you the readings before and after
When it's a shop job
If the test shows a parasitic drain (something draining the battery with the car off), tracing it can take longer. We'll tell you what we found and whether it's a driveway job or a shop job.
Questions people ask
How do I know it's the battery and not the starter?
Rapid clicking with dim lights usually points to the battery. One loud click with bright lights points more toward the starter or its wiring. Our no-start guide walks through it.
Do you bring the battery?
Yes. Tell us the year, make, and model when you call so we bring the right size.
Will I lose my radio presets?
Some cars keep settings during a swap and some don't. We'll let you know what to expect for your car.
